But i can’t describe how happy i was to see, back when they first revealed the game, that the really tall big buff exile was a woman i just, Nice. idk i may have more thoughts on them at another point. Special adoration for the original three and all, but everyone turned out to be kinda great. she isn’t entirely sure about the logistics of making out with a ghost in an orb, but by the Scribes she will try.Īnd man i loved every one of the companions in their own way. obviously the reader takes sandra with her. in LARGE PART because barker ashpaw invents sports and there’s no way the reader wouldn’t pick up that book again and keep coaching a new team of nightwings. blandly happy? i like the notion of the reader staying in the downside and making home of that instead. potentially i’d like that ending more? i also loaded a checkpoint to send oralech back up and that turned out nice too, actually i kinda like that more than what i picked the first time because the first pick was a bit…. if i replay it, i’m probably gonna keep all of the original trio in the downside and send up the rest with oralech, see how that turns out. oralech lived fine in the downside after. the reader gets back to her best friends. so in that way, it felt appropriate that when someone else was poised to make that sacrifice, the ruler abides by the choice as well.Ī fine outcome for sure. the reader had been the one always prepared to make the sacrifice to remain up to that point, and like, accepting someone else’s loss for your sake is a burden in a way too. but then he offered the freedom and i had my reader say yeah, partially because a m8 of mine let oralech up and we wanted to try it different, partially because of hedwyn’s talk about sometimes doing things for yourself, and in large part because in all the liberation rites before, they’d all settled on someone to make the choice (the reader) and obeyed that person’s decision without question. I’d thrown the match to let oralech go - volfred and bertie were both content to stay in the downside, and sir gilman had chosen it to begin with, so i thought that’d be best. so jodi next, then hedwyn, fae, ti’zo, pamitha, and finally came the choice. by the time i got to the finals for the first time, i’d only really raised jodi hedwyn and rukey in enlightment, and so i sent rukey up and the rest of the order was sealed then because i didn’t wanna break up the band. he goes on to invent actual sports with no shitty freedom mechanic in the downside, he got sent down for pissing on the voice’s statue and he just really likes the rites because they’re fun as shit and his introduction was just fantastic and the music perfect and This: each has moved me in different waysīelow are some spoilery thoughts, kindly don’t read if you think you might ever finish the game but haven’t already:įirst of all barker ashpaws was hands down the best adversary like holy Shit. they makes consistently beautiful and heartfelt and fun games, and pyre is no different. If you’ve got the time and the money, consider buying all three supergiant games. I just finished pyre! here are some thoughts:
